Dear Parents, Guardians and Visitors,
This website is intended to help you discover more about the life and work of St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy.
Our first aim is to help your child settle well and enjoy school. We recognise that as a parent or guardian, you are the first educator of your child and we aim to work with you to encourage your child to begin to grow into an independent and responsible citizen.
St Mary’s Catholic Voluntary Academy is a good school, inspired and guided by Gospel Values. We put Christ and the teachings of the Catholic Church at the centre of everything we do and aspire for academic excellence for every child, growing with Jesus ti be the best they can be. People who visit St Mary’s for the first time comment on how warm, welcoming and friendly the school is. Our “Family Atmosphere” is built on a coaching and nurturing ethos.
We’ve loved meeting Santa today in the St Mary’s Grotto! 🎅 🎄
Thank you to the FOSM for organising ❤️

A beautiful Celebration of the Word led by year 3 on the theme HOPE, lighting our first advent candle on our wreaths. Thank you to Father David for our advent wreath blessing. Our mission is to be the light for others 🕯️

Saint Anne’s loved their trip to Queen’s Park. They went to see Carillon tower and visit Charnwood museum. They really enjoyed their little trip out and have been busy making some of their own maps of the park!

Year 6 tried figs as they have been hearing a lot about them in our shared reading book ‘Running wild’. A great way to explore and try healthy foods. Excellent work Year 6! 👏
